Technically Challenged

So...I guess I need to rant! I am tired of hearing a lot, especially lately, about people not liking all the technical stuff that is a part of our world today.  Come on people...get with it. Yes I like to update my facebook status periodically throughout the day. I like listening to itunes while I work - makes the day go quicker.  I also like being able to text someone when I think of them, need to give them a message or a reminder or just want to text a =) to them. And yes...I am gonna say it...harvest my crops.  

I don't understand why some have to complain about these things. I am not shoving my status down your throat, you choose or don't choose to read it. Why do you have always tell me how much you don't like my cell phone, don't like facebook. It's OK for you to not like it - fine, it's your choice. But it's also mine. 

The world is full of technical stuff these days and as our kids get older it becomes more and more. Hey - I don't have an ipod or iphone so I am kinda in the dinosaur ages, as well.  

I do agree that we need to remember there are times to shut the phone off or log out but let me choose when I do it and not always feel guilty for every time I send a text or status update.

OK I am done. I feel better...I better go update now... hehe

Counting mine...

I've been thinking a lot about Counting my Blessings!! Do you ever think of the simple things in your life that are Blessings? I am not talking the big things, like your salvation, your job, your children, spouse, etc. but the little things we, myself included, take for granted! What about the fact that we have a million choices of coffee to enjoy each morning? This is something I do enjoy and consider a blessing. Or sometimes I come home from work and say there just isn't anything to fix for dinner, when in reality, if ya look in the freezer or cupboard there are many many options to choose from. How about when you have a hair out of place or someone messes your hair up. I enjoy a hug from people now and then but sometimes the way I am hugged messes up my hair, which I have worked on and sprayed down to keep in that position!! Come on Niki...take the hug!! Some people have lost their hair due to illness and you complain about a hug messing your do up.

I guess I am speaking to myself about counting them...I need to remember next time I can't figure out what to fix for dinner, or which drink to order at the coffee stand or someone offers you a hair messin' hug...consider it a Blessing!!
